My cage has gone through several rearrangements. Every time Mama cleans it, she changes a little.
Here is the 2nd setup she had for my cage:
The setup is a bit different, with the litter tray in the corner where my wheel used to be. Mama was trying to encourage use of the litter box (yah, right, LOL!).
Instead of commercial bedding, she made me some nice fleece bedding.
It’s just light-coloured fleece cut with pinking shears into tiny-ish bits. Not too small. We have 3 sets (1 set = enough for a bedding change) so we can change it all out and wash it but still have fresh bedding in the cage. We put it in a laundry bag (lingerie bag) and wash it with gentle detergent and an extra rinse.
Mama washed the fleece first before putting it in my cage so any loose fluff was removed.
It was a pretty nice setup. Fleece is easy enough to keep clean and wash. But I still refused to use the litter box. Mama changed it up on me again during the next cage cleaning!
