Meet Gadget!

Hi there. My name is Gadget, and I’m a crazy, cute Canadian hedgehog girlie with some serious attitude! I can be fierce and I can be sweet, but I’m almost always bizzy (when I’m not sleeping) and I prefer to hide instead of play!

I was born on June 9, 2016 to a sweet human in Calgary. I came to my forever home on August 26, 2016!

My hedgie Mama is Raylene, and she’s kinda weird. She makes a lot of my cage accessories. I also have a human Dad, Sister, and 2 brothers (Big Brother, and Noizy Brother). We live in Southern Alberta.

Why is the site address mignonnehedgehog.ca?

This website was originally built for our first hedgie – Mignonne. Here is more about that sweet hog!

Mignonne was born in late August 2013. We’re not sure of the actual date since she was bought from a pet shop and not a hedgehog breeder.

Her name is pronounced ‘Mee-nyohn’ and it means “cute” in French.

We believe Mignonne had a stroke at some point in April of 2016. She was a fighter, but the damage was too extensive for her to heal from.

Mignonne crossed the rainbow bridge on May 9, 2016. We will always love her, and miss her very much.
